So the Eagles lost to Green Bay 27-20 in their first game of the season. Kolb had a terrible first half and went out of the game with a concussion at halftime. Vick came in and had a good game and started to rally the team. So does that mean because Kolb had a bad first half and Vick had a good second half that the Eagles should throw Kolb under the bus after only 2 Qtrs of play?
Things to consider... Jackson had how many dropped balls when Kolb was in there? No plays to Celek who was the leading receiver last year. Play calling was poor. Peters would have been sitting on the bench with all those penalties. Special teams were terrible the entire game giving Green Bay good field position. Last that I remember Kolb doesn't play on special teams!
There in no QB that has ever played in the NFL that hasn't had a bad game, let alone one that only played a half game. But so many people are ready to pull Kolb for Vick. If we were to do that to some of the greats who have played in the NFL they wouldn't have been so great because they would be sitting on the bench!
Give the man some time. Let him play the entire season and see where the Eagles are then. If he doesn't do well then make the call, but not now!
Vick deserves credit for his effort yesterday. He played well, but he also made some bad plays and some wide open receivers out there. If for some reason Kolb does poorly all season then I am willing to give Vick his chance.
Kolb needs more than just a half game to show he is the man to lead this team!
