Wasn't it just yesterday that I was watching you run down the football field for a touchdown at Minch Park?
I was proud of you then, and I'm even more proud of you know!
The other day when I talked to you on the phone you told me "but Dad, we have been getting so close", I just wanted to let you know that we have always been close. See when you were younger I had to be your Dad, the guy that made your life a living hell to keep you straight. Sometimes I hated myself more than you hated me, but it sure has paid off. See now I can be your Dad and your friend, that is something no one can ever take from us.
So I hope you have a Happy Birthday, and many more to come!
